Whether it is greens, tees, fairways or a football field, they all share the macro benefits of Dryject’s unique delivery system of sand and amendments as well as the shattering aeration effect.
A distinct difference with Sports fields – Soccer, Football and Baseball is that with each of these, the turf is cut at a much higher height compared to greens and even fairways. Sports fields are cut anywhere from 1”- 2” in height. Croquet and Tennis courts are usually cut pretty close – somewhere between 1/4” to 1/2” – but even at these heights it is difficult to drag in amendments into holes.
Because these fields are cut at these heights, it is VERY difficult if not impossible to backfill hollow and solid tine holes with amendments because the majority of the amendment is caught up in the turf canopy. Leaving too much up in the turf canopy at one time can cause layering of amendment, then Organic Matter (OM), then amendment again. This layering is detrimental to the root zone as it negatively effects infiltration rates by causing a perched water table above each sand layer. This is why the industry has gone to light and frequent topdressing practices. The higher the height of cut, the more the potential for layering when backfilling holes.
Using DryJect eliminates this issue!
DryJect uses a high-speed, water-based injection system to blast aeration holes through the root zone to fracture the soil. The patented vacuum technology simultaneously fills holes to the surface with high volumes of sand or amendment. This means you can relieve compaction, increase water infiltration, reach the root zone with oxygen and amend your soil with high volumes of material all at the same time. Plus DryJect leaves the surface smooth and playable.
